Musical instrument sector and music industry under one roof Musikbiz offers a business and cultural platform that combines the musical instrument sector and the music industry under one roof and has successfully established itself since its launch in 2007. Media labels, music publishers, pressing facilities, concert organisers, festivals, virtual marketing platforms, institutions, music academies and colleges will all be showcasing their products, services and projects in a separate exhibition area in Hall 4.2. Here you can reach your target audience directly Numerous professional and semi-professional musicians, who traditionally have a close affinity to the music industry, have been coming to Musikmesse for almost 30 years. You can address this specific visitor group directly by exhibiting at Musikbiz. Other visitors to Musikmesse – from the music retail/distribution sector, manufacturing industry, skilled crafts, music teachers, music publishers and the media (film, radio, TV, Internet, press) – have also responded very positively to Musikbiz. Musikbiz Studio In this age of Internet communities, file sharing exchanges and video portals the artist’s own initiative is playing an ever-increasing role in the areas of production, mastering, distribution and self-marketing. The Musikbiz Studio was established at Musikmesse in 2008 in collaboration with the SAE Institute for precisely this reason. Again in 2009 there’ll be plenty of valuable practical tips from experienced video and audio specialists for musicians and bands who want e.g. to make their first demo, promote themselves or create their own live concert recording. Musikbiz Stage Indie and major labels, music academies, festival organisers and many more will showcasing selected bands and musicians. As a Musikbiz exhibitor you can present your artists on a readymade stage to an audience of professionals. On Musikmesse Friday (Label Day) only bands of exhibitors from the music label industry will be playing on the Musikbiz Stage. Musikbiz Congress The Musikbiz Congress is part of the Musikmesse show and focuses on the training of musicians, musician self-management via the Internet and publishing. Exciting and informative talks and discussions will give valuable insights into the music business. Here you can take an active part in the programme of the Musikbiz Congress and focus on specific themes.
